April 7th ZOOM Talk

All through Boston’s history, women have had a multifaceted impact on society’s relationship with food. From farming and shellfish gathering by the Massachusett tribe to serving tavern patrons during colonial times to the establishment of restaurants by European immigrants and migrants from the American South, women have taken a prime role in providing sustenance to our communities. Join us for a Loring Greenough House virtual event on Thursday, April 7 at 7 p.m. about the women who helped to f

eed Boston-area denizens by Mia McMorris, creator of the “Women Feeding Boston Tour.” McMorris will discuss some of the key figures featured on the tour, which is part of the Boston Women’s Heritage Trail.

Tickets are $5 for Loring Greenough House members, $8 for nonmembers. Registrants will receive the Zoom link information in your order confirmation and on the morning of the presentation.

Established in 1989, the Boston Women’s Heritage Trail works to give women their rightful place in Boston’s history by researching and sharing the stories of their contributions. To learn more about the trail, visit bwht.org.
