The Women of Brook Farm

November 4, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free
The Women of Brook Farm are back, and more surprising than ever.
In partnership with the Boston Women’s Heritage Trail, New Brook Farm presents an update edition of our engaging exploration of the extraordinary women who founded, lived at, and visited Brook Farm.
Through a generous grant from Mass Humanities, this performance (as well as an additional performance in Roslindale in early 2019) will be followed by a community discussion on “Shaping the Social Contract: Insights from the Women of Brook Farm.” Dr. Kerri Greenidge will lead the discussions, which will examine the interconnections of gender equality, abolitionism, and women’s suffrage in the 19th century and current issues of racism and sexism.
The event is free. All are welcome! More information: info@newbrookfarm.org and www.newbrookfarm.org
