Since 1989, the Boston Women’s Heritage Trail (BWHT) has worked to restore women to their rightful place in the history of Boston and in the school curriculum by uncovering, chronicling, and disseminating information about the women who have made lasting contributions to the City of Boston.
And History is not over!
Donate here to support our continuing effort to put Boston women in their rightful place in history! Some of our projects planned for our 30th year (and beyond) include:
- Publication of Boston Women’s Suffrage Trail, a guide to highlight Boston leaders and significant events in the decades-long quest for equality at the ballot box
- Voices from the Past: Abigail Adams and Friends, presenting the memories of Adams’ family and friends to commemorate the 200th anniversary of her death
- Sponsor other events to bring alive the stirring words of Boston suffragists and reenactments of events leading up to passage of Women’s Suffrage to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2020.
